Celebration of festivals leading to patriotism, nationalism and pride to be Indian.

Independence Day–the literal meaning of the word ‘independence’ is self-sufficiency, self-reliance, autonomy, freedom, liberty.  Freedom cannot be achieved unless the women have been emancipated from all forms of oppression.’

Holi–Holi celebrates the arrival of spring, the end of winter, the blossoming of love and for many, it is a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive, and repair broken relationships. Here, spreading oneness with open hearts and compassion for all.

Mother’s Day–Importance of the mother who brought them to the incredible world. Mother earth that feeds their existence in every way, Mother India, the land that fulfills every small dream.

Gandhi Jayanti– As MKGandhi says,’Woman is more fitted than man to make exploration and take bolder action in nonviolence.’ Gandhiji believed that India’s salvation depends on the sacrifice and enlightenment of her women.  men and women work together selflessly and sincerely as equals. He strongly believed, 

  • There is no occasion for women to consider themselves subordinate or inferior to men.
  • Woman is the companion of man, gifted with equal mental capacity.
  • If by strength is meant moral power, then woman is immeasurably man’s superior.
  • If nonviolence is the law of our being, the future is with women.
  • Woman, I hold, is the personification of self-sacrifice, but unfortunately today she does not realize what tremendous advantage she has over man.

Yoga Day–To support the cause of girl child and to make every girl aware about essential education, health and self-defence programmes.Yoga is an ancient Indian practice that helps to boost one’s mental and social well-being. Yoga is more than just asanas. It is a means of unlocking our infinite possibilities and power. The high benefits of Yoga have made it a popular practice all over the world.

Teacher’s Day–Celebrating the power houses of knowledge and wisdom, the shapers’ of our destiny and mentors for life.

National girl child Day–The day was marked by the ministry of women and child development with an aim to support girls and provide equal opportunities. It was done so that the bias against the girl child could be removed, female foeticides could be decreased and to create awareness about the decreasing sex ratio. It also calls for equal education opportunities for the girl child.The day brings attention to various issues like reproductive rights, gender equality and violence against women.
